Diabetic Retinopathy is the leaking of retinal blood vessels
occurring in advanced long-term diabetics and affecting the
macula or the entire retina and vitreous. While not all diabetics
develop retinal changes, the likelihood of retinopathy increases
the longer a person has diabetes.
